If I think of my banker as my servant (steward), who is the keeper of the money I deposit with him,
then when I go to the bank and deposit money, I can walk away with complete trust that the banker will take good care of my funds. The banker doesn’t own the money, I do. What’s more, I can add to or withdraw money as I please.
In the same way, God goes to His bankers – you and me –makes a deposit of: money, talent, time, children, family, gifts – and all of those other things we just take for – granted.
Then God walks away with complete trust and confidence that we will take good care of, that is, be good servants, stewards and managers of that wealth - for Him.
So, in our thinking about God and all the He entrusts to our care, we should remember: He is the owner of the wealth he puts in our care. Thus, our responsibility is to be worthy servants, stewards and caretakers of all God entrusts with us.
Finally, remember this: God thinks of us – you and I – in the same way we think of – our bankers.
