...answers give us some interesting food for thought.  Here are some of the answers these people considered the “true riches of life:”

“A happy home and a happy marriage; public life; the opportunity to share; helping to preserve freedom; having a genuine friend; to be loved; the satisfaction of work done for others; challenging work; self-forgetful activity; children; beneficial work; knowledge; health; contentment; doing one’s part; God in His heaven; mental health; strong, enduring faith; doing work you enjoy; happiness; togetherness.”

As you can see, money is not included in the list of true riches.  Strange isn’t it, when you consider how much of your time and energy is dedicated to making money?

If we look in the Bible, Ephesians 2:10, we find where Paul says that Christians are: “His workmanship, created In Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

Apparently, God uses everything in our lives as training to do His will.  We can find true riches in our lives simply by putting God first in our lives by saying: “Lord, here I am, use me, teach me to do your will.”

Therefore, when we strive to dedicate our lives to Him by using the time, talent, and treasure He gives us daily, to be His witnesses to those around us, and when every day is lived in service to Him, then, and only then can we say we have found – the true riches of life.
