How To Live In The Light

As you watch your children grow and mature you may think you have a problem because of your lack of experience as a parent. In fact, you may often feel you are lost and walking through a dark tunnel filled with parental confusion. Everywhere there is darkness filled with uncertainty because you have no knowledge or understanding of what good parenting is like. In short, you probably feel you need divine help and you shout in desperation: "Oh God! Help me!"

Then, as you continue blindly walking down that dark tunnel, always trying to find your way so you can be a good parent, you may soon come upon a curve in the tunnel and suddenly - up ahead - you see light! There, off in the distance a very bright rainbow of light is barely visible, far away at the end of the tunnel!

In this way, God has answered your prayer! Accept His light as your guide. God put His light there because he knew it was just what you will need to teach your children how to grow into "people filled with His light" in the days ahead.

What, kind of person you may ask, is a person who is filled with God's light, and what does being "light filled" have to do with helping you raise your children? Let me explain:

Light filled people are faith-filled, upstanding citizens like you. All you have to do as a light filled person is constantly set your parenting sights on doing your very best job of raising your children to be honest, truthful, compassionate people who have faith that God loves them. Help your children gain the knowledge that they are never alone because God loves and cares for them no matter what they do. You need to help them understand there is always a rainbow colored light in their future and the Lord wants them know it is there for them. He put it there to give them guidance. You need to tell your children to trust the Lord in all decisions they make because He is a most trustworthy mentor who always encourages and never punishes them for anything.

Consider this: God has already raised thousands, in fact many millions of children. Therefore, His best advice and help is always available to you as if from one parent to another. Just by asking for His help, you gain the benefits of His vast experience.

Remember, all you have to do is say in prayer: "Oh Lord, thank you for giving me this vision to live in the light or your rainbow as I do my best to raise our children according to your will. "
