CUSTOMER FEEDBACK:
(1) "I bought one and you are right, I love it. It makes things look so much better and does it faster."
(2) "I am starting a little grassroots project of trying to refurbish used skatreboards and give them back to underprivelaged kids in my area. I had previously used a sander similar to the one I ordered, although it was a pneumatic air drum. So I started to search the local tool shops but no luck.
(3) So your product looks like it will work for what I am doing. It needs to have a little give and needs to be horizontal and hands free. As sanding the wooden skateboard decks is a major part of my process, I am looking forward to see how it works for me since I sanded the 1st one by hand and realized how much work it was." David (CA)
• Suggestion: MAYBE YOU CAN DO THE SAME AS DAVID (above) FOR THE UNDER PRIVILEGED KIDS IN YOUR AREA...
(4) Just wanted to let you know that I got my kit today and I have already used it. It is an awsome tool. I love this thing. I sanded a stick smooth as a babys butt in about twenty minutes and normally it would take me a couple of days of hard work to do that. You've got a good thing goin' there. Keep up the good work.
Thank you very kindly,
Lance L. Gifford

Ken's WEBSITE is: http://www.sticksite.com/
Price of the Flex Drum Sander Kit NKL-407: $46.00 (plus s/h) anywhere in the world.
The kit includes:
3-foam padded drums with 3-different grits of sandpaper sleeves on the drums,(1-80-grit, 1-120 grit, 1-220-grit)
1-shaft and
1-split bushing adapter.
P.S. HELPFUL SUGGESTION:
I added a FOOTSWITCH to my set-up so I can vary motor speed and start and stop very conveniently. You might want to do the same.
Note: You can probably find an inexpensive footswitch at one of your local sewing machine stores or sewing machine repair shops.
Note: No motor is included with the above kit. The motor I use is 1725 RPM and 1/3 HP,
110v. Sometime you can get a free motor just by removing the motor from a discarded washing machine or clothes dryer. Or ask for an inexpensive motor at one ot your local appliance repair shops. You will need a motor that has a shaft that is either 5/8" dia. or 1/2" dia. The metal shaft in the Flex Drum Sander Kit is made to clamp onto a 5/8" shaft, but there is included in the kit, an adaptor to allow the shaft to be used on any 1/2" shaft.
NOTE: Here's a money saving tip about motors. You might decide not to buy a sander when you see that the motor is NOT included. BUT, you can get a FREE MOTOR. Ken got several motors that way.
Here's how to do it: If you have never heard of FREECYCLE, then check out this website:
http://www.freecycle.org.
The idea is that if you have ANYTHING to get rid of, FREE, you post a message on that site and everybody who has signed up (FREE) gets your note. If you NEED something, then you can post that there too. MANY towns and cities have a "group." Frequently I see somebody trying to give away an old appliance that still has a working motor in it. All you need to do is go and get it, then dismantle it. A Wonderful way to go!
